Professional Career: Chris Rozakos
As Broker-In-Charge of Christopher David Properties, Chris Rozakos has more than thirty years experience in areas including real estate brokerage, investment analysis, planning/zoning and construction development and management.
- While in college, Chris interned in the South Carolina Lieutenant Governor’s Office from 1987-89.
- Chris’ early work with governmental agencies including the Appalachian Council of Governments and Greenville County Planning Commission provided an introduction to commercial real estate.
- Chris joined Welkin Capital, Inc. in 1996, specializing in commercial real estate development, brokerage, and construction management.
- From Welkin, Chris moved into a post with Hughes Development Corporation where he continued to work in all facets of the commercial real estate development arena. Projects of significant focus were multistory office building developments and retail developments.
- Chris left Hughes Development Corporation in 2003 in order to form Christopher David Properties with his partner David Burriss. Christopher David Properties continues to specialize in a full range of commercial real estate services and development.
- Over his career, Chris has worked with many regionally and nationally recognized companies, and has been directly involved in projects totaling in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
- Chris has served as a member of the City of Anderson Planning Commission, as well as an Advisory Board member to Carolina First Bank, First Citizens Bank, and Cornerstone National Bank.
Education: Chris received a Bachelor of Arts in Government and International Studies from the University of South Carolina in 1990, and a Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning from Clemson University in 1992.
License: Chris is a Licensed S.C. Real Estate Broker and has held a S.C. Real Estate Appraiser license.
Personal: Chris has been married to his wife Shae since 1997. They have two children.
Professional Career: David Burriss
David Burriss has approximately twenty years experience in areas including real estate brokerage, investment analysis, real estate development and commercial appraisals.
- In 1993, David began a dual practice of real estate brokerage and appraisal with Coldwell Banker Durham Meehan Associates. David also earned his Appraisal License in 1993.
- In 1996, David moved his practice to Greenville and became a Staff Appraiser/Consultant with Stone & Associates, Inc.
- In late 1997, David accepted a position with Shiplett Wilkins, Inc. in Charlotte, NC to specialize in the Appraisal and Feasibility Study of Hotels and other hospitality properties throughout the southeastern United States. David continued his education with advanced course work from the Appraisal Institute and completed all four core courses for the CCIM curriculum.
- In 1999, David returned to the Upstate of South Carolina, continuing his appraisal practice but also increasing his brokerage and development focus. Projects include site brokerage and development for the Veterans Administration CBOC Clinic in Anderson, SC, Kentucky Fried Chicken/Taco Bell and medical office developments.
- In 2003, David joined forces with long time friend Chris Rozakos and formed Christopher David Properties, Inc. and Meridian Property Advisors, Inc. Christopher David Properties, Inc. maintains a brokerage and development business that includes site brokerage, development and leased fee investment sales for Kentucky Fried Chicken, Carolina First Bank, Advance Auto Parts and Fee Development for Dunkin Donuts and others.
- Meridian Property Advisors, Inc. is a general commercial appraisal practice with increased focus in income producing properties, restaurants, hotels and property tax appeal consulting.
- David previously served on the local Advisory Boards for Carolina First Bank and Cornerstone National Bank.
Education: David received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Clemson University in 1991.
License: David is a Licensed Real Estate Salesman and Certified General Appraiser in South Carolina.
Personal: David has been married to his wife Martha since 1993 and they have three daughters.
